How to play Mafia

Mafia is a social deduction game with hidden roles. Civilians try to identify the Mafia through discussion and voting while Mafia players try to remain hidden.

Rules and game flow

Create a table, seat the players and distribute private roles. Pocketon can manage states, timing and voting.

  1. Each player checks their role privately.
  2. Run the night phase according to the active roles.
  3. During the day, discuss events and suspicions.
  4. Nominate players and vote.
  5. Continue until one side reaches its win condition.

Tips

  • Track the consistency of arguments, not only emotion.
  • Remember who defended or accused whom.
  • The host should remain equally neutral toward every role.
